PRESIDENTS REPORT.

June 2004

I would like to start of by thanking all those members who gave up their saturday to help raise money for the Betty Cuthbert charity day at Ermington. The cars were really a hit with Betty picking Warren Stennings car as her car of choice & then we had Greg Mathews picking the same car I must admit it does save on the cost of trophys.

All the runs last month were well attended I heard the last Camaro-firebird run was something else with over a 100 cars turning up.I was glad to hear there was none of our members lighting them up on departure as these do reflect on your club.

If you would like to put your car on show at motor-ex please let me know you can phone me on A/H 42681455 we are looking for about 15 vettes for a club display you must have your car there on friday night & pick up sunday after 5pm they will be safe as there is security guards there all night & there is a prize of $2500 for the best club display so lets get our thinking caps on.

I have just read the last Mustang magazine & they have put a retraction in from last months magazine, I really would like to invite the guy who wrote the article to come with us on the day in one of our cars. I think his opion of corvettes would change, because I know his president really wants a silver 63 with red leather trim as was over heard at a luncheon I was at.

As you will find in this months magazine application forms for the renewal of membership this year we really need them filled out completely as we need to update our records this is important & also your entry form for Fox studios this year which is on the 12th of September 2004 entry cost this year is $25 which includes your polo shirt & show bag it would be helpfull if you could get them both back to us ASAP.

Apart from that I think our club is running very smooth at the moment so lets get those vettes out as often as possible if you have a run that you would like to go on or you need help organizing it just give Alan Dures a call on 0418252512 & he will help you.

Don't forget John Mafrici is always looking for articles for the magazine we really need some storys about why you bought a corvette so lets all put pen to paper & send him of a story.
