PRESIDENTS REPORT.

April 2007

It's been great to see such active participation shown by so many people again. I was really proud to see how well represented our club was at our latest show at Totally Home Bella Vista. The team on the committee pulled together to do a great job making sure all aspects were covered on the day and I was happy to see so many enthusiastic members spend the day there and catch up with their fellow members. Having read Cam's report prior to my writing this I would have to wholeheartedly second his comments and thanks in his report. Everyone who was able to be present on the day who was is to be commended. Thanks to all.

We've already begun work on our next major show which we intend to have at Darling Harbour again following the potential we saw at last years show in our new venue of Pyrmont Bridge. Watch this space for more details.

Many of you will be heading off to Queensland shortly after reading this to partake in this years Corvette Convention. At the time of my writing this the Convention is two weeks away and I'm eagerly looking forward to it. I hope everyone who attends enjoys themselves and represents their club well and look forward to lots of great stories afterward.

It's good to see so many of you stepping up to the plate with ideas and constructive input. Thank you all for this.

Also, we have moved the month for this years Brass Monkey Run. This is one of my favourite runs of the year (I may sound a little biased in saying that) and we will be heading in a new direction for this one so I hope to see a fair few of you there for some fun on the day.

I advised the incorrect date in my last report for the Hooters Car Show that Rusty James is organising, the correct date for this show is Sunday 6th May.

Please don't forget about GM Day at Panthers on Sunday 29th April 2007. More details are on page 16 in this newsletter.

I hear everyone who recently attended the North Head Ghost Tour had a very enjoyable (and for some scary) night. If Cam is mysteriously injured in the near future it will likely be payback from one of Cameron's victims on the night.

If you are aware of anyone who may like to advertise with or sponsor our club please let either myself or Cameron know or direct them to us. We are always looking for advertisers and sponsors.

Until next month, be safe and enjoy this hobby we all share.

Andrew
