President’s Report April 2010
Hi Everyone,
As usual, the club has had, a very busy month.
Our main event was Bella Vista, Wow what a great day again.
A fantastic line up of members and a great contingent of cars and owners, who travelled down from the Queensland clubs, [11 corvettes], also my friend Ron from Melbourne in his C5 who helped Jenny and myself with all the gear and goodie bags and transporting them to the show.

I would like to thank Nick and Sharon for helping in organizing a dinner for the QLD members on the Saturday night before Bella Vista, as well as all of the members who attended and made the QLD group welcome. A total of 50 people attended this dinner.
I received an E-mail from Bob Hislop {QLD} thanking our club for making them feel welcome and congratulated us on putting on a great car show at Bella Vista.
Congratulations to all the trophy winners. It was close at the top and we could not separate Warryn and Murray for car of the show. So this year we awarded two trophies.
Also Karl received a cheque from the Centre Management for $1,000 as their choice.
A big thank you needs to go to the following people,
Jenny our club secretary, for all her work in tallying the judging sheets and spending most of the day in the office doing so.
All committee members that were there on the day for their help and support.
All the judges for giving their time to do the judging.
Thanks needs to go to Warryn our head judge for organizing and collecting the judging sheets and running them to Jenny to tally.
I would also like to thank our sponsors,
Totally Home Bella Vista Staff and the management for their continued support in making this a very popular annual event.
Michael Cokinas for all of his bag fillers, and you would agree the bags this year were full of goodies.
Maguire's for their give-aways, [car care packs]
Classic car magazines and calendars.
NRMA Vintage Veteran Insurance in supplying our carry bags.
Gary Webster from Kumo Tyres for bag fillers.
And several business people for their flyers.
Once again Brian our Treasurer has come to my assistance and helped me collect boxes of give-aways and samples for our goodie bags.
The club was also successful in attracting 9 new members who joined on the day at Bella Vista.
As you are all aware, our club will be hosting the National Corvette convention in 2012.
Thanks to all of the members who have volunteered to be involved in organizing this major event.
We held our first convention committee meeting at my home last weekend, and we are putting the ''wheels in motion ''so to speak.
The committee will be reporting back to the club and its members on the progress and we will give updates on a regular basis.
The following month looks to be a busy one as well, so look in the coming events in your magazine for "whats happening at your club."
As I Always "Do It in a Vette"
