President’s Report August 2009
Hi Everybody,
Once again I have had a busy month. I would like to thank Gary for chairing the meeting in my absence.
Unfortunately, I believe our meeting venue at Concord was disappointing and not what we expected, so with that in mind, several members of the committee and me have sourced what we think a more suitable venue. It has private and separate meeting rooms. This venue will be of no cost to the club

The new venue is at Regents Park bowling club and the first meeting will be on the 2 nd Tuesday 8TH September. I apologize for all the recent changes and inconveniences to you all.
The one thing you need to note is, the meeting nights will be changed to the 2nd Tuesday of each month, due to the club having a permanent booking on the first Tuesday.
Coming events - CMC day at Eastern Creek on 23rd August, all tickets have been taken, a good response from members, for those that have tickets and cannot make it please let us know so as we can pass it on to another member.
AGM is coming up in October, so if you would like to be involved in the organizing of your club step forward and be nominated for a position. See flyer in this month's magazine re -positions available and duties required.
Darling Harbour show and shine is on the 1st November, entries will be in the magazine, fill the entry out and return ASAP especially if you want to order a shirt as we need 1 month turn around.
This club event is always a great day.
The Macquarie Muscle weekend to Port Macquarie is filling up fast; this should be a great weekend to showcase your corvette. Send entry to club secretary.
Winton Lead foot challenge is on again, put on by Corvettes of Melbourne, and see me for details and entry forms.
I would like to thank Graeme our magazine editor for all his good work with our magazine, especially all of the feature articles on our advertisers.
Sadly, some of our members have been ill over the past couple of months, so we wish them all a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Bob Lynn. (As I always say, Do it in a Vette. |
