PRESIDENTS REPORT.

December 2003

Where has the past 12 months gone, already it is Christmas so I would like to take this time to wish all of our members & their families a safe & happy Christmas hoping santa brings you lots of presents.

About two weeks ago I went to a meeting of all the Chev car club presidents to discuss our clubs & what the future holds for them, a lot of positives came out of it. The biggest problem we all seem to have is club run participation how do we encourage more members to come on them, if you have any ideas your feed back to me would be great our committee has put together a list of runs for the 3rd Sunday of every month so please try & make an effort to get along to as many as possible. If you have an ideas for a run & are not sure how to organise it all you have to do is ask a committee member for some help.

It was good to see our club retained the corvette challenge lead foot award I heard there was some quick times by our members so congratulations to every one that represented our club & Andrew for organising a great weekend.

The other event that was on the same weekend was the first of the US Nats there was about 10 vettes on the Saturday super cruise & about 15 on the show & shine day on Sunday it was a great site looking at over 400 all American cars all the praise goes to Mr Dave Clee & John McCoy-Lancaster & committee for a great effort putting an event of this size on, it was a pity the storm came in to finish off a great event so quickly.

Also the next corvette convention being held in Melbourne is only about 5 months away also it's important that you get your entry in as soon as possible it really helps them with there organising committee. I will be putting a convoy plan together for those wishing to travel down together, if you have any ideas or suggestions please let me know I will have something for the next magazine on ideas.

So from my family I hope all your christmas wishes come true.
Live & drive the dream.
