PRESIDENTS REPORT. December 2006 Well, the end of year is upon us already. I hope everyone has had a good year and that you all enjoy a happy Christmas break with loved ones. I usually avoid singling people out for fear of overlooking somebody (and my apologies if I do) but a big thank you needs to go to Tracy and Jenny for putting the huge effort that they have put in this year. Their efforts have really made a difference to the club and are appreciated. I’m equally thankful for the efforts of the rest of the committee also as well as Cameron who I enjoy a great working relationship with. I’m finding that everyone on the committee is open and cooperative and is more than willing to step up to the plate, take something on, and contribute. It is a pleasure to be part of a team such as this and it sure makes doing what we all do easier. I’m also very thankful to have seen so many members enjoying their club lately. To be totally honest I couldn’t be happier with the committee I am working with right now, none of them expect a pat on the back, but they all deserve one. I’m writing this the day after our Club Christmas Party and would like to thank everybody who came. Days like that are what you make of them and everyone made it a fun and enjoyable day. While we are at the end of this calendar year, we still have lots of things in mind we would like to do in the New Year. Two things I am personally looking forward to at the beginning of next year are All American Day at Castle Towers shopping centre (one of my favourite events on the calendar) and the Club Display Day at the Hawkesbury Power Boat Club, we haven’t done this before but I am really looking forward to it! The Hawkesbury Power Boat Club Display will be limited to 30 cars only, so please let me or Jenny know if you intend on coming! Keep an eye on future newsletters as I am confident 2007 is going to be a good year for us (we have a lot planned) and as always feel free to let any of the committee know if you have any feedback or ideas. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you all next year. Merry Christmas all! Andrew |
