PRESIDENTS REPORT. January 2002 To all of our members & their familys I hope you all had a happy Xmas . 2003 will be a great year for Corvettes being the 50th year of this mighty sports car. The first outing of the year will be the all American day at Castle Hill Towers on the 19th of January. Last year we had such a good turn out for our club, lets try again this year also we will get one of the other Chev clubs to judge our cars & we can do the same for them as there are always complaints about the judging this should solve the problems I hope. The next outing will be our Family day BBQ at Bobbin Head once again the club will supply the food & soft drinks this is a day for the whole family with pleanty to do so if need be just bring the family car. With the convention getting closer if you are going & have not sent your money in yet can you do so ASAP as the Canberra club needs all the info & #'s so that they can organise there venues this is a major event & as they are a small club need all the assistance we can give them they have done a great job so far. Also it would be good if all our members sent a photo of their car so we could put them on our club members photos your # plate won't be displayed so just contact Anestis our webmaster. It
would be good if any members could come up with some new ideas for club
runs as we don't want to do the same runs every year if you are not
sure how to go about organising a run all you have to do is contact
either, events cordinator & they will give all the help & assistance
they can. I would also like to congraulate Alan Dures for winning the
club member of the year trophy that was donated by Wayne Rowley. Alan
really put a lot of effort into it going to meetings, club runs &
organising runs & wearing club clothing keep up the good work Al.
So don't forget to take the vette out for a run they were mean't to
drive don't leave them in the garage. |
