PRESIDENTS REPORT.

June 2005

Hi everyone, I think it was a great gesture of the Mustang club to include a trophy for the Corvettes at their annual car show at the Yallah Woolshed, this is a great day out there must have been over 200 cars we really should have this day marked down as our club run for next year, Warryn Stenning got the trophy on the day.

The progress on the convention is moving along with most of the hard work done BUT the deposits are slow coming in, also the RAFFLE tickets have slowed up these are great odds with only 100 tickets being sold for a return trip for two to LA the cost of the tickets are $100 if you still haven't got one YET!!!! get the hint all you have to do is post a cheque off to our postal address which is in your magazine & Tracey will post your winning? ticket back to you, you can ask your friends if they want one you don't have to be a member to purchase a ticket.

As your President I have never been so dissapointed with the turn up for our clubs first photo shoot in six years with only 61 cars turning up out of 240 SO called MEMBERS. I picked Penrith for the location because it was easy for everyone to get to from all directions we had members from as far south as Nowra & north from Gosford but we have members that live within ear shot of Penrith that didn't turn up, to me there are no EXCUSES everyone was given enough notice about the event it was either emailed to you or it was in your magazine. I think if we have another one of these days I will include TROPHY'S T / SHIRTS & then we will get the responce that we are looking for because that is the only time you see half of our cars is when there is TROPHY'S involved.

I would like to thank Warrick Williams for taking photos & suppling the camera gear, Andrew Felton for getting the channel 9 helicopter there, Bob Boes for directing the cars into position with the help of Alan Dures & Jeff Wilson who rang me as I was driving into Penrith & telling me he couldn't get the cherry picker from the fire brigade but rang around & got a ladder truck so we weren't stuck, thanks to all the helpers & the CLUB MEMBERS that turned up the posters should be ready at the next meeting in July.

If any members are still thinking of coming up to Brisbane for the Down Unders club show we are leaving on the 8th July & returning on the 11th this is a great weekend with pleanty of fun there & along the way if you need more info call me A/H 42681455.
