President’s Report June 2007

This month's report from me will be a short one as I am away on holidays (writing this from my room in Bowling Green, Kentucky) and Cam is standing in for me in my absence (thanks Cam).

As some of you may aware, one of our long time and active members Bob Lynn, had a recent hospital stay. While Bob is on the road to recovery at present, please keep Bob and his recovery in your thoughts.

This month will bring with it the 2007 Brass Monkey Run. This year we are taking a alternative route and going in a different direction to our previous Northerly course, this time heading West to a new location covering pleasant roads and scenery. For those of you who are unaware of what the Brass Monkey Run is, it is a run we have where we do it in a cold winter month with tops down/off and windows down. It is a fun day and something to be experienced. Having said that the no tops/windows down is not essential - you can still come if you prefer to sit ensconced in the comfort of your closed cabin car on the day - it will be a great day either way. More details on this run can be found elsewhere in this newsletter.

For those of you who are not active on our club web forum, member Joe Chalhoub with help from Nick Zankiewicz is organising a club go-kart/coffee afterward day at Eastern Creek Karting Track. This will be fun and exciting day so if you are seriously interested, check out the forum for more details. Due to the nature of running a day like this and the financial commitments that have to be made whilst booking, payment upfront will be required in order for your name to be added as an entrant on the day.

On that note, I'll sign off and say I'm looking forward to seeing you on a club run soon.

Drive safe
Andrew
