President’s Report March 2009

Hi Members,

We have had a few things happening ,as you will read in the minutes of the February meeting.
A few issues with the Dept. of Fair Trading that is in the process of being resolved which has left Jenny, Brian and myself very busy over the past few months.By the time this goes to print hopefully it will be resolved.

On a lighter note we have had several events such as the Western BBQ.It was well attended considering it was pouring rain, 25 members attended and not a Vette in sight.

As I write this report I have just returned from Murray and Wendys annual Bobbin Head Valentines day picnic which was down on attendance, but for the members that attended it was a very enjoyable day.
Thanks again to Murray and Wendy for all your effort and support.

The day before I held a judging day at my place,in which we discussed ways of improving our current judging system. We hope to implement this system at our next show and shine and at the convention in Canberra. Thanks to all that attended, especially Terry Ruse from the Canberra Corvette Club for his input and expertise.

On a final note, don't forget our annual show and shine at Bella Vista 15th March, it is on "Rain Hail or Shine." [Hopefully their will be no hail] Set-up time will be 7.30am -9.00am, so be on time and if you haven't already put your entry in, have it ready ,which will make it easy for the registration process.

Maguires have come onboard as a sponsor for the show and they will be providing us with goodie bags as well as several prizes for raffles.

Looking forward to seeing everyone attend this event and help support your car club.

Again the entry fee of $10 will go to our designated charities.
Learning Links and Life without Barriers.

Regards Bob.
