PRESIDENTS REPORT.

May 2004

I would like to start of by congratulating both the Victorian corvette car clubs for putting on the biggest ever convention. Organizing an event of that size is a big task the high lite for me was going around Lang Lang, what a venue for the track day that will take a lot of beating. I was happy to hear every one got home safe & sound so we will all have to wait now till next year in Perth to do it all again.

The next major show is the QLD's down under corvette car clubs show & shine on the 11th of July there will be a group of us making the trip up again, last year we had a great time so if you are interested in coming this year let me know.

Ross Reynolds is putting together a trip to Carisle this year there will be two versions a short 10 day trip & an extended version you will need to let Ross know if you are going by the end of the month so he can make all the final arrangements.

Getting back to the convention it was great to see one of our senior members Mr Peter Holmes introducing himself to all the newer members that would have never met him before, I really think we need more of this as to keep the history of our great club going with storys of the past also don't forget Peter & Linda have just started their new business in Berry selling great furniture, when I took Michelle down she wanted to refurnish our house the prices are very resonable and it is worth the drive down & have some lunch at the same time.

Speaking of club members I have just had Damien Anderson build a carport & balcony for us, his workmanship is fantastic the best thing is that he is prompt & reliable I think we should all try & give club members our business first to keep it in the club.

The next big news is that we have got the parade lap again at Bathurst this year the members that went last year will have the first chance to go & the places left over will be drawn as a raffle our friends at the Mustang club weren't to happy their vice president wrote a few nasty lines so I rang him he said he was sorry about what he wrote, like he said they have done it for twenty years & he loves to go to it.

Don't forget your memberships are due at the end of june we need you to fill in the loose leaf form as we need to update our register which hasen't been done for awhile.

Regards Garry.
