PRESIDENTS REPORT.

October 2003

1st off I would like to welcome all the new members that have joined the committee for the next year & to the old committee members thanks for staying on.

Now to clear another matter up I have been asked by two people from our club are we in financial trouble, the answer is NO this past year our costs went up with postage, printing the magazine & insurance that is why we were sailing close to the wind at the end of the financial year Murray Forman loaned us $2000 just in case we needed it but we scraped through. That is why we had to increase the membership to $60 to cover ourselves for the next 12 months, also we have worked out a monthly budget so this won't happen again.

There is a way of saving more money & that is to print a magazine every 2 months by doing this we would save about $800 for the month we didn't print a magazine, or for members that are on the internet we could email you direct that would save printing & postage, I would really like to hear some feed back on these options please. If you have any other suggestions I would like to hear from you, also you can phone me A/H on 42681455 to give me your ideas if you don't won't to bring them up at a club meeting.
