President’s Report October 2007

By the time most of you have read this our 2007 AGM will have been and gone. I'd like to thank the members and committee for their support and entrusting me with the responsibility of representing our club over the past year. I hope that I have carried out the role to the satisfaction of everyone, if not and you have any matters you'd like to discuss please feel free to contact me. I'd also like to thank the various office bearers and committee members for their contributions over our term, doing what we need to in order to fulfil our responsibilities to you the members is a team effort and from my perspective their efforts are appreciated..

Our 2007 Show and Shine "Corvettes on Darling Harbour" on Pyrmont Bridge is not far away at all, being on Sunday 21st October 2007. If you intend on going and haven't gotten your form in yet PLEASE DO IT NOW. We need to know who is coming so that we can work out various logistical aspects of the day from car parking arrangements to entrants showbags and judging sheets. This is intended as an open show for all owners of Corvettes, not just club members, so if you know someone who has a Vette who would like to come, they are more than welcome to attend (subject to the usual entry requirements of completing an entry form and paying any entry fees). If you have any questions about the day, please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the committee.

Our summer Tuesday night BBQ's will be kicking off again this month also. Details will be in the clubs newsletter but the first one for the year will be at the Doonside location. I look forward to seeing you there.

Also, for anyone interested in the "Leadfoot Challenge" to be hosted this year by Corvettes of Melbourne at the GMH Lang Lang proving ground, please contact Greg Webster on 0400 950 840 ASAP so that their club can plan accordingly for the event. It is only a little over a month away.

I hope you all continue to enjoy your Corvettes and what this club has to offer and support the incoming committee over the next 12 months.
