President’s Report October 2008

As you all know this will be my final report as President of your Club.

I would like to thank all of you for trusting me with this position in the club. I have considered the opportunity a privilege and thank everyone for their support over the last few years. Over the last two years I have learned a lot from my experiences in this role and appreciate having had this opportunity.

After 10 years of volunteering for this club in various roles, the time has come for me to step aside and let somebody else have a go while I pursue some of the other things that life has to offer. I will still be around, but will now have a little more ability to pick and choose my level of participation.

I would also like to thank all of the office bearers from the past year for their efforts and service, as well as wishing the incoming office bearers all the best for a successful and positive year for the club.

Don't forget that our annual "Corvettes at Darling Harbour" Show and Shine is on Sunday 19th October. As with the last two years, this show will fall on the same weekend as The Sydney International Motor Show.

The "Leadfoot Challenge" is also on 1st & 2nd November at Wakefield Park in Goulburn (get together Saturday afternoon/evening + track day & presentation dinner on Sunday).

Lastly, I was recently approached by Totally Home Home, Bella Vista about a tentative date for our club to hold next year's Annual Club Show and Shine there on the 19th March 2008. I will leave those details with the incoming committee for their consideration.
