PRESIDENTS REPORT.

September 2004

Well we can say good-bye to winter let the club runs begin by the time you read this the first camaro-firebird mysterey run will be over I hope our club was well represented.

This is going to be a busy month with so much on first off we have Fox Studios which will be the best display of Corvettes in the country. Then the following weekend our club run & then, there are some of us going down to Queanbeyne for the All American nationals if you don't know about this great weekend give me a call on 0403026867.

Our club has been invited once again to host a display of corvettes at Darling Harbour in conjunction with the motor show which is on in October I will be looking for around 20/30 cars & we will be out front of the convention centre which is a prime position for the best American sports car ever built.

Also we will be doing the parade lap at Bathurst again if you went last year & want to go again please phone me, also I may need more cars than last year so if you want to go let me know & I will put your name down it is first in best dressed.

Then to top it off YES we are going back to Eastern Creek for the last round of the V8 supercars this was a faboulas day I will need about 25/30 cars so I will need names again. O" yes the TIN pony's are going to tag along again, I couldn't stand the phone calls from their President saying what about us.

I was told our club was represented by Steve Rosenfels & Harry Anderson at the American drag day at the new WSIDway when I was first told about it I couldn't imagine Steve & Harry in drag but they told me they were racing ( just joking guys) Steve took out first place there was about 200 cars on the day well done guys which just goes to show if you want your car to go quick go to SR Performance & let Steve do it right for you.

I am trying to put together a full on day all American race day at the drag strip with John Mcoy-Lancaster where we will have about 120 cars on the day having this amount of cars guarantees everyone plenty of track time I will keep you up to date we are looking at 21st november 2004, Steve Rosenfels volunteed to help set the up races it will be staggered starts so every one gets a fair go.

Also dont forget next month is the AGM where all positions become vacant if you think you can offer your club something then put your hand up.So till next month get your vette out of hibernation & go on a run.

Regards Garry.
