Presidents Report

As you all know next month is our clubs AGM it is important that you attend the club meeting so as you have an input into who will make up the new committee as all positions will become vacant.

If you feel as though you could add something in the running of our club please nominate your name, I know there is a couple of positions that will not be filled by the people that are running them now, the most important thing is that you can make the committee meetings they are held just before the club meeting on the same night.

For the committee members that won't be with us next year I would just like to thank them for all there input over the last 12 months it has been a pleasure working with you.

As for me it has been a pleasure being your president over the past 3 years I sometimes have, had to make decisions that don't please everyone but I have always made my decisions with the best interest of the club & I feel our club is growing each & every year which really comes back to you the club members that support all the runs & events that are put on for you.

From the oval office.
Regards Garry.

Just a quick reminder if you haven't got your application form in for Corvettes @ Fox please get them to me ASAP & please put your shirt size on the entry form so as you will be guaranteed your correct shirt size.

I have just recieved the trophys they look fantastic your show bag this year will be worth over $80 so the entry fee of $35 is cheap.

Don't forget you do not have to have your car judged if you don't want your car will just add to this faboulas day.

Regards Garry

OUR CLUB MAGAZINE.

Last month at our committee meeting it was brought up that we should look at sending our magazine to the members via the web or email.

The cost to print & post the magazine is costing our club around $800 or there abouts a month which over 11 months is a bit of cash as opposed to the cost of the web which would be roughly about $50 a month.

I then said we would get an opinion from the members at the meeting that night to my surprise there were about 5 that opposed going to the web this decision will not be made in a rush.

As for the members that don't have access to a computer we will still have a magazine as such that you will recieve I am getting costs on getting fewer copies.

The benefits of having it on the web is that all the photos are coloured & you can down load the information you want to keep to a disc so you will still have your magazine but it will be on a disc & easy to store.

Some of the storys that are getting back to me what people are saying is beyond belief the best is we are a non profit organization so why do we need to save the money which is quite true but the problem is if it costs you more to run the club than you take in a year you will not have a club as such. Unfortunately this is the way most clubs are going now, it is 2005 not the 1950's people back then said TV would never replace the radio for information.

If you have an opion on this matter please feel free to phone me A/H on 0242681455.

Regards Garry.
