Southern Report August 2008

Hello Fellow Members,

We had a breaky run to Scarborough Pub a few Sundays ago which was great as usual, approx. 6 dars beautiful day.

Highlighting the month was a night of bowling on the 5th july. More than 25 people attended to showcase another flamboyant display of talent, such names as Everlyn Rosenfels, Johny Fostelis again strutting their stuff on the lanes of Sylvania AMF ( I think Johny may have scored higher than his mum, to be confirmed though )

The Thomsons brought some outside skill along to seek an edge and combined with their own touches of brilliance scored average considering a pivotal member of their team C.C. could not play, as the same crushing blow was administered to Michelle Strohfeldt and Stephanie Lusty, they also could not be named in their sides through injury and were forced to the bench.
Michael Kountourogianis showed some early form with his balls but was upstaged by his lovely partner.
Andy ( Dirty Rat ) was comfortable with a timely lead in the 1st game which is all he needed to feed his appetite for a trophy, I mean challenge , with a decisive win and highest score of 127. Only to be met with a very competitive combination in the 2nd game from Brian Strohfeldt, Gary and Vicki Nelson.
They took charge of the second game with Andrew who was sliding down the lanes like a knife thru butter, what an action ( poetry in motion ).
Steve Rosenfels set a PB on his lane, but rumor is the gutter bumpers ( training wheels ) were in place.
Peter and Blake Connel, well maybe just Blake, was scoring well in our lane, I think I did a hammy or something.

Following the bowling most everyone went to a Thai restaurant where we enjoyed the rest of the night.
2 big names Jo & Josie Chalhoub were missing from the players list as Jo was looking for fares on the Tut Tut.

Also Pizzas with Muscle has organized a show for the 31st of August at Kurnel from 9am at Marton Pk . on Capt, Cook Dr. for further info visit www.xcz.com.au/ - click onto events - or call Rob- 0410 109294

On another note I will not be standing for this ( Southern Rep . ) position at the forthcoming AGM and welcome anybody to nominate themselves, its been fun, look forward to keep it that way and thankyou to all.
Regards

Gary Lackersteen
