I have always admired the Corvette C3 from the first one I ever saw But it took until a few years ago to have the means and no dependent children to buy one.
I believe it originally lived in the Canberra District, then went to Dubbo for a period. a young lad from Hill End near Bathurst purchased it. He put a V6 out of a commodore into it so he could drive it on P plates
When we purchased it he had reinstalled the original V8 back into the corvette the car was in a rough state but with potential.
We have cleaned and polished and polished to get the outside to this point I removed the dash and cut out about 5 kg of wire that wasn’t original and not needed
then fitted the new Gauges and sent it to Hi Tone Motor Trimmers ( I think they did an amazing job with the interior) we have done some work on the engine; heads, ignition, carburettor, radiator excreta
Deborah and myself love driving our vet, we have travelled about 4000 kl per year and have enjoyed meeting fellow Corvetter’s along the way.
